Camera-ready or print-ready files refer to digital documents that have been prepared and formatted to be printed or reproduced as high-quality printed materials. These files are ready to be used by a professional printing company to create the final product, such as a brochure, flyer, business card, or other marketing materials.
Print-Ready Files
Camera-ready or print-ready files should be in the appropriate file format, such as PDF, EPS, or AI, and should be set up with the correct specifications for printing, including the correct bleed, trim size, and color mode. The files should also have a high resolution and be free from any errors or issues that could affect the final print quality.
Screen shots are not print ready files! They also need to be higher resolution and not low resolution. Low resolution files will print fuzzy and pixelated.
Before digital camera-ready was just that it was ready to go to the camera to make the film then the plate.
It is important to note that creating camera-ready or print-ready files can be a complex process that requires knowledge of graphic design, printing, and file formatting. It is recommended that you work with a professional graphic designer or printing company to ensure that your files are properly prepared for printing.
Be sure to check with your printer on the proper format, bleeds etc. Needed for print ready files.
