There are several types of graphic designers, each with their own set of skills and areas of expertise. Here are some of the most common types:

  1. Branding Designer: A branding designer is responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent visual identity for a company or product.
  2. Web Designer: A web designer is responsible for creating and designing the visual aspects of a website, including layout, colors, and typography.
  3. UI/UX Designer: A UI/UX designer is responsible for creating user-friendly interfaces for websites and applications, with a focus on usability and user experience.
  4. Print Designer: A print designer is responsible for creating print materials such as brochures, flyers, and advertisements.
  1. Motion Graphics Designer: A motion graphics designer is responsible for creating animated visual elements, such as title sequences for movies and TV shows, and digital ads.

  5. Icon Designer: An icon designer creates small, simplified graphics that represent an action, object, or idea, such as icons used in mobile apps or websites.
  6. Social Media Designer: A social media designer creates graphics and visual content specifically for use on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  7. User Researcher: A user researcher specializes in researching and analyzing user behavior to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
  8. Data Visualization Designer: A data visualization designer creates visual representations of complex data sets to make them easier to understand and interpret.
  9. Infographic Designer: An infographic designer creates visual representations of information and data, often used for educational or marketing purposes.
  10. Mobile Designer: A mobile designer creates user interfaces for mobile apps, with a focus on designing for small screens and touch-based interaction.

Steve is graphic designer who works at a print shop. He has been in graphic design since high school and continued on to get an Associates of Applied Science degree in graphic design too. He has since worked mostly in advertising design for various newspapers and shoppers. He has also worked for a couple sign companies. He currently works at a print shop. Steve has over 30 lifetime years of graphic design.
